Microblading / Microshading

Microblading & Microshading

Can I get microblading over an existing eyebrow tattoo?

Microblading can be done over an existing brow tattoo, however the old tattoo must be significantly faded for the hair strokes to show through and look natural. Please advise if you have an existing tattoo and submit a picture to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure.

Can your undesirable Microblading be corrected or covered up?

The answer is YES! Although microblading is meant to be a permanent procedure, shape and color correction can be done. The first is lightening the brow to an almost nonexistent stage by pulling out all the color. This is done via saline remover (see removals), and the second is color correcting a brow that has turned colors (red, purple or blue tint).

Is Microblading painful?

Most people experience some discomfort. This will vary according to each individual’s pain threshold. Having a semi-permanent procedure is less painful than getting a regular tattoo. Topical numbing cream is used before and during the procedure. Pain level is usually none to mild. Typically, patients will report a tickling sensation with little or no discomfort during or after a procedure has been performed. Eyes and lips are usually more sensitive than eyebrows.

What to expect during and after your Microblading session.

The entire microblading healing process will take from 4-6 weeks depending on your body regeneration and age. Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

The pigment will appear very natural looking immediately after the microblading procedure. The color of the pigment will appear much darker the next day.

Note that because of natural skin regeneration, after recovery period (peeling), brows might appear lighter than original. This might give you the impression that color is fading too quickly. Often even with proper care, clients may lose original hair strokes which make brows look uneven. It is absolutely normal. That’s the reason why most clients need a touchup after 6 weeks.

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.  The final look of your eyebrows will be apparent approximately 30 days after your procedure.

Never rub the treated area as it will disturb the skin from natural healing.

Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun.  Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly. When using foundation, be aware when applying to avoid your healed eyebrows. If foundation covers healed brows, your eyebrows will appear lighter.

You can now enjoy your beautiful new temporary eyebrows.  You will simply love your new gorgeous fresh look!

EYELINER AND LASH LINE

Eyeliner & Lashline Enhancement

Before Lash line Enhancement procedure

  • Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeliner procedure

  • Please remember to bring your glasses

  • Eyelash growth serum (please don’t use at least 3 months before treatment, it might cause pigment migration)

  • Eyelash extensions (please remove few days before the procedure)

After Care

After Care

MICROBLADING / MICROSHADING AFTER CARE

Microblading / Microshading Post-Care is very critical to the final appearance and longevity of your new eyebrows. It is advised to refrain from any water activity, beauty cosmetics or personal care products for the first week

  • Right after the procedure the client is advised to gently clean the brows with a damp cotton round every 30 minutes to remove any lymph build up.

  • After 24 hours the eyebrows should be cleaned gently 2 times a day with warm water and (mild children soap) and clean cotton pads. The movement is done in the direction of hair growth, without forcing the skin. ATTENTION! Do not apply excessive after care ointment, this leads to the formation of scabs!

  • It is forbidden to apply Vaseline, Bepanthen, and any antibiotic cream or White Petroleum  (the risk of infection is very high.)

  • Exposure to sunlight or any other forms of UV/UVA rays are strictly prohibited for 1 month.

  • It is strictly prohibited to apply any makeup (e.g. Eyebrow powder etc.) in the eyebrow area for the next 2 weeks.

  • Access to the pool is not recommended for 1 week (chlorine can cause irritation to the eyebrows.)

  • Sauna, Jacuzzi, Ocean, Pool, or Hot bath are not recommended for 1 week.

  • Fitness and any activities that require effort and sweat are contraindicated for the next 5 days.

  • During the healing, small skin peels may appear. Do not pick, peel, scratch or remove any peeling or flaking skin, as you may cause scarring or removal of the pigment. (Abrasive creams or sea salts are strictly prohibited).

  • Do not sleep with face directly on the pillow for a period of 2 weeks. Accidental pillow contact with the eyebrow in the healing process can remove the pigment in some areas, creating an asymmetrical aspect between the 2 eyebrows.

  • Avoid any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck for 2 weeks

  • The 2nd microblading session or touchup as it is called is recommended between 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure. If the person is over 50 years add 1 week, ex. 60 years – 6 weeks, 70 years – 7 weeks and so on.

Please note that a good aftercare is the key in order to have a satisfactory result. 50 percent  of the final result is related to a good aftercare routine.

  • The eyebrows immediately after the procedure will be up to 30 percent  darker and up to 15 percent thicker than normal. Please be patient and follow the aftercare instructions as advised by your therapist. It is strongly advised to get the second session as suggested by the therapist and the procedure is not considered finished without a touch up.

  • Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: fever, redness at the site, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, elevated body temperature, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, and/or any green/yellow discharge that is foul in odor.

Healing Process

Healing Process

You may experience minor swelling and redness on the day of your procedure. You may experience some minor redness and skin peeling (scabbing) during the first week. The color will look darker and shape might be Sharp. After about a week, the color and edges will soften. While healing the treated area will gently exfoliate and you will lose some color (about 30-40 percent. This is a normal process. The final result will be visible after 3-4 weeks when pigment will stabilize in the skin. OUTER HEALING completes in about 3-6 days for eyes, 7-10 days for lips.

Is there hair loss during or after procedure?

Permanent makeup does not harm your natural hair in any way. The pigment only goes into the first layer of the epidermis (first layer of your skin), whereas your hair follicles are located much deeper.

Will the treated area be red and swollen?

You might experience redness and swelling for a few hours after the procedure. In minor cases until the next day, everyone heals different due to sensitive skin. Permanent eyebrow swelling is mild and barely noticeable. Permanent eyeliner swelling is moderate. Permanent lip color swelling is severe and should subside after 24 hours. This is very dependent upon the amount of work performed.

What is the difference between Semi-Permanent Cosmetics and a regular tattoo?

Semi-Permanent makeup is long-lasting makeup. It doesn’t stay forever like a regular tattoo and it’s not so deep in the skin as a regular tattoo. The pigment is deposited only into the first layer of the skin (Epidermis). Pigments for semi-permanent makeup are tested in the laboratory by doctors and specialists to make sure they are completely safe. Pigment fades over time, because of the skins natural exfoliation process. To keep the fresh color a touch up is recommended usually after one year.

Removals

Removals

Can Permanent Cosmetics be removed?

Yes! You can get rid of unwanted, faded or discolored tattoos without painful laser treatment. Pigment remover is becoming very popular since it's less painful than laser removal. The process can be very exact in pigment lightening and making permanent makeup corrections

How many treatments do I need?

Permanent Cosmetic removal will take more than one procedure to remove everything you are not satisfied with, but the first results are immediately visible.

Requires 2-5 treatments every 4-8    WEEKS

Contraindications before saline pigment removal:

  • Breastfeeding

  • Cancer, Undergoing chemotherapy

  • Active Herpes Simplex (cold sore, blisters)

  • Keloids or Hypertrophic Scarring

  • Anticoagulants (blood thinners)

  • High Blood Pressure (ask your doctor)

  • Diabetes (ask your doctor)

  • Alcohol or drugs before the procedure

How does saline pigment remover work?

Implanting pigment remover into the skin breaks up the healed pigment. It lifts the old pigment out of the skin by osmosis.

*osmosis a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated one, thus equalizing the concentrations on each side of the membrane. The pigment is slowly pulled to the surface of the skin and heals into a scab.

When the scab falls off, old pigment falls off with it, leaving a lightened tattoo. While healing, the skin will continue to extract more undesired pigment.

Pigment lightening solution procedure:

A specialized, all-natural saline solution is implanted over unwanted permanent makeup or small tattoo with a single acupuncture needle (machine). The technician applies numbing cream on the skin before the treatment (lidocaine).

Healing after removal:

The healing time is similar to the initial micropigmentation and relatively nontraumatic with little to no downtime.

Permanent makeup removal is a long process, that requires understanding and patience from the client. The results are not guaranteed. They depend on customers skin type, the individual healing process, old pigment quality and depth of old micropigmentation, also proper aftercare.

What are the differences between laser and saline tattoo removal?

With a laser, all of the removed pigment is absorbed into the body. With saline removal, most of the pigment is lifted up through the surface of the skin. Certain lasers can only break up certain ink colors, mostly dark colors. Saline removal is also color agnostic which means that it works on all pigment colors.

Saline Solution Aftercare Instructions:

  • Do not pick, rub or peel off your scabs, to avoid scarring or infection (itching is normal as the skin is repairing itself)

  • Keep the treated area clean and dry (use clean towel or tissue to dry it), avoid environments that would cause dirt or germs to contact area while healing

  • Wash daily with a light touch to remove bacteria, buildup of product and oils, and dead skin, use gentle soap (Dial, Cetaphil, Neutrogena), dry with a clean tissue

  • Do not expose the treated area to sun or tanning bed

  • Moisturize with a thin layer of cream recommended by technician apply with a cotton swab on the dry area (never apply on wet or damp area) twice a day

  • Keep your hair away from your face

  • No makeup on the treated area

  • Avoid sleeping on your face, use a fresh pillowcase

  • Avoid face-down swimming in the pool, sea, lakes, and hot tubs for two weeks

  • Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area

  • It is recommended to not sweat and exercise after the procedure for a week

  • Do not dye, wax, tweeze in the cosmetic tattoo area

Please remember that  cold sores can happen to anyone at any time after the procedure. It is not a sign of incorrect treatment or lack of safety, it is the reaction of the skin to the procedure. Delicate and gentle machine work can help reduce the risk.

Please remember to follow the aftercare procedures and moisturize your lips only with cream recommended by your technician.

If you experience itching or burning sensation, please contact a doctor and inform your technician. Remember it is temporary. Please don’t use any homemade remedies, since it might cause permanent damage to your skin.

Botox and Fillers

Botox and Fillers

What is Botox?

Botox injections work by blocking the nerves that contract muscles, softening the appearance of wrinkles. The injected muscle can't contract. That makes the wrinkles relax and soften.

Botox is most often used on forehead lines, crow's feet (lines around the eye), and frown lines. It gives spectacular effects for about 6-9 months. The final results of Botox are visible after 4 weeks. That is why you can get permanent makeup 4 weeks after Botox.

This period determines your look and relaxation of muscles. Botox changes your look and if you don’t follow the rules your permanent makeup might look uneven.

Permanent makeup lasts longer than Botox. Before you decide to get an injection consult with a technician.

Always be honest about any cosmetic injections that you had in the past. This helps to assure the best long term results.

Can I get Lip Fillers and Permanent Lip Tattoo at the same time?

Many clients wonder if those two procedures could be done at the same time.

Of course, you can have those two procedures, but not at the same time. Actually, the combination of both treatments gives the best results, if you desire to have full and perfectly shaped lips. Permanent makeup for lips gives them beautiful color and shape! Hyaluronic acid (fillers) will give them fullness, firmness and moisturize.

It’s important to do your research carefully and choose the right technician and the right time for both procedures. It’s good to plan and prepare for it a head of time.

What is better getting Lip Fillers first or Lip Tattoo?

If you are planning lip metamorphosis and you would like to have bigger lips and enhance the shape and color. Then the right order decides the best results.

Why we first recommend getting Permanent Lip Color?

Mostly because results of permanent makeup last longer than lip fillers. Usually, pigment stays in the skin for about 2-5 years.

Lip fillers last 6-12 months, depends on the    individual. That’s why permanent makeup determines long term shape of your lips. Even when lip fillers are gone you can still enjoy beautiful color and shape. You can always get another lip filler treatment if you wish.

During permanent makeup, lip procedure technician will improve uneven shape if it’s needed and give you a fresh color.

After healing you can visit your aesthetic medicine doctor, who will add fullness to your lips.

If you are afraid of having too big lips, you can get a smaller amount of hyaluronic acid just to moisturize them. They will look healthier and more youthful.

Can I have Permanent Makeup for Lips, if I have Lip Fillers?

Lip fillers change the shape and size of your lips, if you already have them, we work on already shaped lips by the injector, not your natural shape. After you will lose fillers lips might look asymmetrical.

Please keep in mind that the process of getting rid of hyaluronic acid in your body goes faster than getting rid of pigment from your skin.

Pre

Pregnancy and Breast Feeding

Can I get Permanent Cosmetics if I am pregnant or breast feeding?

Cosmetic  tattoos are no different from traditional tattoos and pose the same risks of infection. Pregnant women should steer clear of the tattooing process during pregnancy in order to eliminate the risk of HIV or Hepatitis B infection. Cosmetic  tattoos involve applying ink deep into the uppermost layers of skin. During pregnancy, facial tissues can be distorted and stretch due to swelling and fluid retention. This means that makeup tattoos applied during pregnancy can change in shape once the baby has been born and the swelling subsides.

Skin Camouflage

Skin Camouflage & Ink-less Stretch Mark / Scar/Skin Rejuvenation (IRS)

What is Skin Camouflage?

Skin camouflage, also known as skin color tattooing or camouflage tattooing, is a needle and pigment method that uses pigments to blend body imperfections into the surrounding natural skin. It enhances the look of scars, stretch marks, and other regions afflicted by hypo-pigmentation.

The principle for skin camouflage technique, is to introduce a light dispersion of a custom blend of flesh tone pigments to camouflage the treated area with a needle across the surface of the skin. The treated area blends with the natural skin tone, making the problem area less noticeable.

A camouflage tattoo is generally considered non-invasive and safe, as it requires little to no downtime and a fairly

easy aftercare routine

It is recommended for the imperfection or injury area to be healed 6 months to a year or longer. Once healed the

color correction can be applied to the area in order to achieve the most optimal Inked tattoo camouflage result.

It is recommended to have the “Ink-less Stretch Mark/Scar/Skin Rejuvenation (ISR)” procedure first to help the skin regain its original texture (see description below for more information on ISR)

Scar Camouflage?

Scar camouflage can reduce the visibility of facial and body scars that come as a result of injury, surgery, or other factors.

Stretch Mark Camouflage?

Stretch Marks are changes in the skin tension and elastic fibers that gradually break down and shrink.

At the beginning, pink or purple-red irregular longitudinal cracks appear and over time the cracks on the skin

gradually fade and turn into a silver-white stretch mark.

Other approved areas:

Cleft lip and Palate Scars, Burns, Age spots and Hypo-pigmentation

Ink-less Stretch Mark/Scar/Skin rejuvenation (ISR)

Professional Ink-less Stretch Mark/Scar/Skin Rejuvenation  is considered to be one of the safest skin treatment procedures and works much better than other treatment options - such as Chemical Peels,Dermabrasion, Dry needling and laser.

With the ink-less method, we use a specialized cocktail of all natural FDA approved vitamins and serums the skin

needs in conjunction with a needle and rotary device. It is a minimal, completely non-invasive, non-surgical service

which leads to the production of new Collagen, Elastin and Melanocytes, which  thickens the skin and reduces the

appearance of stretch marks, scars and skin imperfections. It also  improves skin texture, firmness and hydration. Bringing back the skins natural tone.

Collagen and Elastin are needed to give the skin a plump, smooth and bouncy texture. This reduces the appearance

of stretch marks, scars and skin imperfections by 30-50 percent. Some clients may need multiple sessions depending on the severity of their Stretch Marks or Scars.
